To use the gifts of all evangelists in the jurisdiction in order to bring salvation to the unchurched community, to establish a clear presence of witnessing Jesus Christ to all who will hear the good news, to equip the saints for spiritual growth, to edify the body of Christ, to have unity within the faith, to engage in learning the knowledge of the Son of God.

Evangelism Leaders’ Bios

Elder Mosley D. Hobson
Mosley D. Hobson was born on Decemeber 13, 1977 to the parents of Mr. Greorgy and Mrs. Delores Hobson of Roanoke, Virginia. Elder Hobson is a proud graduate of William Fleming High School class of 1995. Upon graduation he enlisted into the United States Army as a Forward Observer. Throughout his military career he has risen to the rank of Sergeant First Class; whereas, he has held many company, battalion, and brigade, level assignments. In fact, for the many hats that he wears, it has landed him at Fort Bliss, Texas where he is currently stationed. A decorated Operation Iraqi/Operation Enduring freedom war veteran, Elder Hobson has traveled abroad state side and overseas; his overseas tours include South Korea, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan (two tours).

Aside from serving and protecting our Nation in the natural, he also serves and protects our Nation in the spiritual. Elder Hobson has been in and a part of the church since childhood. He started out in the music ministry at High Street Baptist Church under the pastoral care of the late Reverand Dr. Noel C. Taylor and transitioned into other areas of while staying rooted in his passion for the music ministry. However, it was not until January 1998 in South Korea that Elder Hobson received the Holy Ghost and his call to preach the “good news of Jesus Christ.” He was licensed in 2000 while serving at Temple of Praise COGIC, Hinesville, GA under Pastor Dr. Kevin L. Betton, Sr. and Bishop Benjamin P. Collins, Georgia Southeast Jurisdictional Prelate` and ordained in June 2004 while serving at Barstow COGIC, Barstow, CA under Pastor David Norman and Bishop Irvin G. Perry, California Southern Third Jurisdiction Prelate`.

While stationed in California, he co-hosted Barstow’s first Connecting To Your Destiny and Beyond conference which focused on ministering to all groups and ages. During that conference many people where changed through sound teaching and preaching God’s word. Throughout his journey in the Church of God in Christ, thus far, he has been mentored by some of the greatest district superintendents and Jursidicational Prelates; but the most memorable was being mentored by the late Reverend Timothy Wright.

Currently, Elder Hobson is serving his local church (Word of Life Ministries) under the tutelage of Superintendent Albert J. and Evaneglist Willie Mae Mays. He assists his leaders in the propagation of worship by serving as Word of Life’s strategic planning committee president, member of the board of directors, Men’s Department, Music Department, Pastor’s Aide Committee and Young Adult Ministry mentor. In addition, to serving his local church and district, he also serves his jursidiction as the Jurisdictional Evangelist and AIM Chairman for the Texas Western Jurisdiction COGIC, under the divine leadership of Jurisidictional Prelate Bishop Juan O. Lawson.

He is a young entrepreneur and member of the New York Chamber of Commerce, he also is the co-founder and partner of Richley, LLC., and former business owner of Quiznos subs in Upstate New York. He is a member of the Alliance of Administrators based in Hinesville, GA that focuses on assisting Pastors and church workers in building Excellence in Ministry. Elder Hobson is currently in pursuit of completing his Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Liberty University. He has three children, two daughters, MiChelle’ D’Anna and Talyah Denise and son, Ghaiden Amoz. Elder Hobson is a man of vision and purpose who loves God’s people. Yet, he hold’s fast to his profession of faith encouraging people that Jesus loves and saves.
